Our operations are guided by regulations and standards by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (“DOSH”) and CIDB on matters related to site safety and health. All parties that enter our project site grounds were required to wear personal protective equipment (“PPE”) at all times and site workers were provided with specialised protective equipment in line with specific job functions such as working at height, confined spaces or handling of chemicals. The Group performed its due diligence with regard to OSH matters via the project team monitoring the safety reports produced by the contractors we engage with and conducting regular assessments on site safety. Tropicana continues to be strongly committed to reducing operational risks and improving safety performance in the years to come. The data provided below presents our OSH performance for our on-going projects throughout FY2021. Essentially, the properties we develop serve to achieve a larger goal which is to bring communities together by redefining the art of living in sustainable townships that also emphasises on environmental conscientousness. While each project may differ in features and configuration, the construction phase operates as a uniform system that demands multi-stakeholder management and sound governance. Our operations are not without its challenges that could potentially lead to delays in product delivery. However, Tropicana remains firm in our stance to create quality homes, equipped with innovative facilities and developed at strategic locations. To ensure efficiency and compliance to regulatory requirements throughout our construction phase, we are supported by our capable project team, QA team and VP team at each project site. Further, the consultants and contractors we engage with are rigorously assessed for their experiences, resources and ability to meet delivery expectations. To maintain our track record as a reputable developer, our contractors are regularly evaluated for their performance and compliance to national and local laws. The framework below describes our general contractor management practices which is applicable to our on-going projects.
