1979 • Tropicana Group was incorporated and quickly became one of the fastest-growing property developers in Malaysia. 1992 • Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. • Pioneered the resort-themed development with the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”). 1996-2009 • Developed over 1,000 acres of TGCR and Tropicana Indah Resort Homes. • Unveiled the nine-acre Tropicana City integrated development. 2012 • Conducted the Tropicana amalgamation exercise to consolidate all property development and investment activities into the Tropicana Group. 2013 • Achieved record revenue of RM1.48 billion and record sales of RM2.16 billion. • Changed its corporate name from Dijaya Corporation Berhad to Tropicana Corporation Berhad. 2013-2017 • Won over 50 prestigious awards from 2013 to 2017. • Honoured as one of the Top Ten Property Developers at The Edge Property Excellence Award 2017, and continued to gain recognition from various reputable awards. 2020 • Tropicana 10-TEN digital campaign achieved bookings of RM899 million. • Re-activated our Tropicana Foundation initiative and won multiple CSR awards. Tropicana 100 campaign offered buyers 100% returns on booking fees, 100% interest-free flexibility, 100% legal fees borne, 100% furnishing, 100% financing as well as 100% additional referral rewards. Singing to the 100 tunes, the first 100 lucky purchasers were also rewarded with furnishing vouchers. With these irresistible offers, this campaign outperformed despite market challenges. From 1 July 2021 to 30 September 2021, Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre played host as one of the large vaccination centres (“PPV”) for the Program Vaksin Selangor (“SelVax”). Tropicana received glowing reviews from satisfied applicants who have registered and took their vaccines at the centre. NEWS AND EVENT HIGHLIGHTS FOUNDATION EVENTS 2 Tropicana builds flood mitigation system in Johor Bahru 12 April 2021 To aid the Johor government in their flood prevention efforts, Tropicana built a flood mitigation system at Lido Waterfront Boulevard, Johor Bahru to address flooding concerns in the area. The system is designed to trap garbage and prevent waste from flowing into the sea, improve water quality and reduce pollution. The system will be handed over to the local authority, Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (“MBJB”) for future maintenance. 1 Tropicana delivers 6,500 hot meals to 28 charity homes during MCO 2.0 18 February 2021 During Movement Control Order ("MCO") 2.0, Tropicana delivered some 6,500 hot meals to 28 homes over 34 days from 16 January to 18 February 2021. The event was aimed at raising spirits, spreading festive cheers, and providing some relief to underprivileged communities. The event was put together by the Tropicana Foundation, a charity arm of the Tropicana Group in its aim to spread festive cheers and provide relief. The Tropicana Group also united its 50 divisions, raised funds, and purchased dry canned food, sanitary products, essential supplies, and other necessities for these underprivileged homes. 3 7,500 food packs & daily necessities delivered to 15 homes 11 May 2021 Tropicana Foundation planned, cooked, and delivered 7,500 hot, nutritious, and delicious food packs to the needy during the holy month of Ramadan. The charity food drive organised before MCO 3.0 was channelled to 15 different underprivileged homes and NGOs in the Klang Valley area. 5 Tropicana donated over 2 tonnes of fresh produce to 10 charity homes 12 July 2021 Tropicana Foundation donated over 2,000kg worth of fresh produce to 10 different underprivileged homes and NGOs in the Klang Valley area. Together with its agriculture arm, Purple Pumpkie and Greenhouse, the Tropicana team organised and packed various fresh produce from Patin fish, freerange chicken, tomato, kangkung, spinach, sweet potato leaves, brinjal, and sweet corn that will feed about 1,000 folks for a week. 6 Tropicana donated RM690,000 to COVID-19 aid in Johor 31 July 2021 Tropicana Foundation donated a total of RM690,000 to four institutions in Johor. In its aim to combat and flatten the COVID-19 curve, Tropicana reached out to the Johor community and donated: 1. RM300,000 to the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor 2. RM300,000 to Tabung Bencana Negeri Johor 3. RM10,000 to Majlis Perbandaran Pontian 4. 6 units of Electrocardiogram (ECG) Machine worth a total of RM80,000 to Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Johor 4 Donated RM30,000 for medical equipment 4 June 2021 Tropicana Foundation continues on its mission to give back to society and helps to flatten the COVID-19 curve.
