Profile
Datuk Kamaruddin Bin Taib, 59, a Malaysian,
was appointed as Independent Non-Executive
Director of the Company on 26th April 2012. He
is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee
and Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
He is currently the Executive Chairman of
Germanischer Lloyd GLM Sdn. Bhd. a leading
technical service provider for the Oil and Gas
Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Mathematics from the University of Salford,
United Kingdom.
He started his career in 1980 with a leading
Merchant Bank in Malaysia. Subsequently, he
servedas aDirector of several privateCompanies
and Companies listed on Bursa Malaysia.

Apart from his vast experience of serving on the
Board of Companies Listed on Bursa Malaysia, his
experience also included serving on the Board
of Companies listed on the Stock Exchange
of India as well as those listed on the Nasdaq
(U.S.A.). Throughout his tenure on the Board of
Companies, he has had significant experience in
merchant banking, corporate finance, mergers
and acquisitions.
Currently, he is as an Independent & Non-Executive
Director of Great Eastern Assurance (Malaysia)
Berhad as well as an Independent & Non-Executive
Chairman of Great Eastern Takaful Berhad.
