NEWS AND EVENT HIGHLIGHTS FOUNDATION EVENTS 2 Tropicana builds flood mitigation system in Johor Bahru 12 April 2021 To aid the Johor government in their flood prevention efforts, Tropicana built a flood mitigation system at Lido Waterfront Boulevard, Johor Bahru to address flooding concerns in the area. The system is designed to trap garbage and prevent waste from flowing into the sea, improve water quality and reduce pollution. The system will be handed over to the local authority, Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (“MBJB”) for future maintenance. 1 Tropicana delivers 6,500 hot meals to 28 charity homes during MCO 2.0 18 February 2021 During Movement Control Order ("MCO") 2.0, Tropicana delivered some 6,500 hot meals to 28 homes over 34 days from 16 January to 18 February 2021. The event was aimed at raising spirits, spreading festive cheers, and providing some relief to underprivileged communities. The event was put together by the Tropicana Foundation, a charity arm of the Tropicana Group in its aim to spread festive cheers and provide relief. The Tropicana Group also united its 50 divisions, raised funds, and purchased dry canned food, sanitary products, essential supplies, and other necessities for these underprivileged homes. 3 7,500 food packs & daily necessities delivered to 15 homes 11 May 2021 Tropicana Foundation planned, cooked, and delivered 7,500 hot, nutritious, and delicious food packs to the needy during the holy month of Ramadan. The charity food drive organised before MCO 3.0 was channelled to 15 different underprivileged homes and NGOs in the Klang Valley area.
