This is an honourable recognition as the award is reserved for top architectural firms and developers that have the greatest impact on the built environment in Southeast Asia. The Top Ten Developers were judged with the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year by the extent of their sustainability and confirmed Green building ratings. Apart from that, industrial, office, and hotel projects will also receive a higher rating by BCI Asia. The effect of the weighting is that firms with these portfolios of projects will have higher odds to make it to the Top Ten Awards. Tropicana had won this distinction seven years in a row previously between 2013 and 2019. 14 December 2021 The Edge Malaysia Top Property Developer Awards 2021 (“TPDA”) judged the country’s best developers holistically on the grounds of their qualitative and quantitative achievements and this year, Tropicana continues to remain at the forefront, taking home the title of Top 10 Best Property Developers Award at the 19th TPDA. This marked the 6th win for Tropicana. The TPDA is evaluated on both qualitative and quantitative attributes. In the qualitative category, judges evaluate each company on its expertise, image, innovation and creativity, product quality, and the value it creates for buyers. Meanwhile, in the quantitative category, companies are evaluated on their shareholders’ funds, turnover, profitability, and cash or gearing. The scores and rankings of the TPDA were audited by Deloitte Malaysia.
