Health and safety remain at the forefront of our business model as we navigate our way through this pandemic. We achieved this by implementing targeted measures that included providing vaccination to our employees, following vaccination requirements, conducting regular testing on our staff, and sanitising our operating spaces frequently. Our charity arm, Tropicana Foundation continues to engage and support the general public, healthcare facilities, NGOs, and frontliners through contributions that include medical equipment, food supplies, living essentials, and monetary funds which amounted to more than RM3.6 million. We have been taking steady steps Art of Tenacity While we continue to adapt and recover from the aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain focused on strengthening Tropicana’s aspirations towards adopting sustainable practices via considerations applied to our EES risks and ESG commitments. We aim to be a driving force in the property development industry, breaking boundaries and bringing meaningful changes to society’s standard of living by addressing our material sustainability matters. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Management team, the information in this sustainability report highlights our current practice and future plans. It is part of our commitment to be transparent and to ensure our efforts make a positive impact today and for future generations. Art of Learning As we continue to grow our development portfolio, we remain conscious of the direct impact our operations have on the surrounding natural environment. From responsible resource utilisation to strict regulatory compliance to environmental management practices, we exercise our due diligence and operate with careful considerations throughout the development stage and beyond. Further, a number of our projects have been successfully assessed and certified as green development. This includes our Tropicana Gardens and Tropicana Metropark projects that received Green Building Index (“GBI”) and GreenRE certifications as presented on page 141 of this Sustainability Statement. As new and innovative products are developed to prioritise environmental stewardship and address climate change, we aim to work towards inculcating sustainable development practices and establish operational strategies that unlock value creation towards protecting the environment. in the past few years to build our Tropicana Foundation programme, which includes helping the communities through various donations and charity engagements (page 135) as well as fostering care and support amongst our employees. Reassured by the safety measures in place to protect our employees, Tropicana continues to emphasise product and service quality to our customers as well. With over 5,000 customer satisfaction surveys distributed throughout the year to gain valuable feedback, we strive to create products that meet the needs of our purchasers. Our projects are assessed using QLASSIC benchmarks to ensure quality deliverables to highlight the Group’s unwavering commitment to develop buildings that meet the expectations of our stakeholders.
