Serba Dinamik Annual Report 2021

Section 6 | Sustainability Statement 192 DIGITALISING MALAYSIA As we grow our ICT segment, we recognise the importance of creating awareness on the application of digitalisation at community level. In 2020, we opened our doors to the D-Virtual Park in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. The first virtual theme park in Borneo was an effort in collaboration between Serba Dinamik Group and Sarawak Multimedia Authority ("SMA"), Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation ("SDEC"), TERAJU, TEGAS, Start-up Borneo, Sarawak E-Sports Association and other multinational companies. Besides being an amusement centre, D-Virtual Park consists of a community and innovation lab ("SDx FabLab"), creative studio ("SDx Studio"), e-sports centre ("SDx Arena"), and digital kiosks for hawkers and local traders ("D-Tamu"). It is an ecosystem for the youth and savvy entrepreneurs to immerse themselves in a digital experience to boost creativity and innovation. We believe that with its close proximity to three (3) universities with over 20,000 students, it will serve as an incubator for budding entrepreneurs and new start-ups. D-Virtual Park has also expanded its franchise to EvoMall, Bangi, allowing local communities in Klang Valley Area to experience various interactive Virtual Reality ("VR") games and technology.
