A visionary entrepreneur, she has co-founded several businesses including Rentwise Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia’s only homegrown, privately held independent lessor specialising in operating leases of IT equipment to the corporate sector. She was CEO and Chairman of Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. from 2006 to 2011. Other businesses Emily has co-founded are in the IT, financial services and FMCG space. Emily has more than 12 years in direct investment, a significant part of that with 3i Group plc as Vice President for the Asia Pacific region from 1998 to 2003, where she was part of the pioneering team in establishing 3i’s investment presence in Asia. Her portfolio ranged from new technology to brick and mortar in both b2b and b2c verticals. She was on the Board of eALCadvisors, an Asian regional company in digital lead generation for the financial services sector; Egraphon Technologies, a Singapore application development company designing interactive Front-End Sales processes for the financial and medical industries; and The Company of Extraordinary, a Singapore food-based company with import / export activities and a café. As a senior member of SHELL’s management, she has more than 30 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry, in all aspects of strategic government relations, external and reputation management. Her last position was Director, Government Affairs at SHELL Malaysia, building the function from inception and pioneering the lead role.
