Dato’ Mohd Izani has over 27 years of investment and management experience. Prior to joining UEM Group, Dato’ Mohd Izani was the Executive Director, Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) where he oversaw its Turkey Regional Office. He was formerly Khazanah’s Chief Financial Officer where under his leadership, the Government’s strategic investment arm issued many landmark sukuk transactions including exchangeable and Social Impact Sukuk. He had also previously served at Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and Renong Group. He is also a member of the Investment Panel of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP) and sits on the Advisory Boards of Ancora Fund Management Co. in Indonesia and Creador Sdn. Bhd. He has over 37 years of experience in banking & finance, investments and capital markets having served as Executive Director, Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Managing Director of Fajr Capital Ltd. (a Khazanah investee company) and held key positions in Citigroup, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA), to name a few. In 2005, he was named as the winner of the first Asian Banker Achievement Award for Islamic Finance.
