At Datasonic, human rights are not just a policy, but a principle that is embedded in our Group’s ethos. We believe that upholding these rights enables a work culture where employees feel valued, respected, and empowered. This, in turn, leads to a more motivated and productive workforce, ultimately contributing greater value to the Group and cultivating a sustainable future for all stakeholders. OUR APPROACH Datasonic strives to uphold human rights throughout our business operations. We ensure our workforce is treated with dignity and respect, encouraging a diverse and inclusive environment. We believe in a meritbased environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to our success regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, and socio-economic statuses. Our resolve to human rights is aligned with internationally recognised human rights standards, such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, on which we have instituted policies and procedures. At Datasonic, our Employee Handbook covers labour matters in relation to working hours, minimum wage, and health and safety standards. To guarantee our employees are fully informed about their rights and our expectations, the policy is available at our internal portal and any update is communicated throughout the Group. We also actively promote awareness through regular communication channels, including morning briefings at our sites. Furthermore, our offer letters explicitly detail their entitlements and benefits, including wages, working hours, company rules and regulations, probationary periods, and termination procedures. By providing clear information on these specific aspects, we empower employees to understand and exercise their rights. Labour Standard Datasonic's Approach Humane treatment Datasonic prohibits all forms of harassment, abuse, and exploitation. This includes sexual harassment, corporal punishment, and verbal abuse. Child labour All forms of child labour are prohibited. We are committed to eradicating child labour from our operations and make sure no children under the age of 18 are employed. We abide by local and international regulations against any form of child labour, including the Children and Young Persons (Employment) Act 1966. Forced labour Datasonic complies to all relevant labour laws, including those prohibiting forced labour, and maintain a strict prohibition on all forms of involuntary work throughout the Group and our supply chain. Working hours Datasonic adheres to local laws in relation to working hours and overtimes. We operate within the 45-hour workweek as mandated by the Employment Act (Amendment) 2022. Wages and benefits Our compensation packages meet the requirements of all applicable compensation and labour laws, including the Minimum Wages Order 2022. We conduct annual reviews to ensure they remain competitive within the industry’s current standards and market conditions.
