04 SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT STATEMENT SUSTAINABILITY DATASONIC GROUP BERHAD 62 • “Trash2Treasure” Initiative Datasonic implemented the “Trash2Treasure” initiative – a company-wide recycling competition spanning from August 2023 to January 2024. Engaging employees across the Group’s six (6) site offices, the programme encouraged healthy competition while fostering a culture of sustainability. This collaborative effort resulted in the collection of 11,219 kg of recyclable waste, demonstrating the impact achieved through collective action. Throughout the year, we engaged with our communities through several initiatives including: CSR Activity Allocation / Contribution Datasonic H2O Run Allocated RM431,274 for the community event. Akaun Amanah Kemanusian Rakyat Palestin (“AAKRP”) Allocated RM200,000 in humanitarian aid. Trash2Treasure Recycling Competition Invested RM77,763 in the CSR programme to collect and recycle wastes from Datasonic’s six (6) site offices. Infrastructure Upgrade in SMK Seksyen 11, Shah Alam Contributed RM42,500 to upgrade the school’s infrastructure. Iftar Ramadhan Datasonic Event Contributed RM38,985 towards iftar event and duit raya money packets. Mangrove Tree Planting Programme A CSR programme to plant 150 mangrove trees and seedlings at Sijangkang, Selangor, amounting to RM13,298. Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara Sponsored RM20,000 to the “Kedaulatan Malaysia – Governan Utama Negara” Book Launch Programme in which 1,000 students from public universities in Malaysia were given a copy of the book each. Yayasan Sayang Malaysia Donated RM10,000 towards 50 chronic illness patients. Persatuan Perlis Kuala Lumpur Contributed RM10,000 towards education and welfare activities by the organisation with 1,300 members. Persatuan Penguasa Imigresen Malaysia (“PPImM”) Sponsored RM10,000 for the organisation’s dinner event. Pertubuhan Ketua Keluarga Mantap Donated RM5,000 for Charity Golf Tournament for the benefit of less fortunate members of the association. Persatuan Pegawai Kanan Kastam Malaysia Invested RM5,000 for Charity Golf Tournament amongst NGOs and clients. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Pengkalan Hulu Donated RM5,000 for the education and accommodation of 20 orphans. Persatuan Penganut Anandhakodi Shirdi Sai Baba Selangor Contributed RM5,000 towards the daily administration of the centre. Bahagian Keselamatan dan Pasport JIM HQ Sponsored RM4,000 for end-of-year departmental event involving 113 staff members. Puspanita Cawangan Jabatan Perdana Menteri Donated RM4,000 for Annual General Meeting of Prime Minister’s Office PUSPANITA. Perum Percetakan Negara Contributed RM3,030 in donations. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ukhuwah Keharmonian Kuala Lumpur Donated RM3,000 for 50 cancer patients in collaboration with National Cancer Institute. Asrama Darul Falah PERKIM (“ASDAF”) Contributed a new PA System Set for the benefit of 50 underprivileged indigenous children worth RM2,500. 11,219 kg Recyclable Wastes Collected
