04 SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT STATEMENT SUSTAINABILITY DATASONIC GROUP BERHAD 52 Anti-Corruption Datasonic maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards all forms of bribery, fraud, and corruption. Our focus is on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to prevent fines, penalties, and legal actions. We have instituted an ABAC Policy in line with Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”) Act 2009. The policy applies to all directors, employees, business associates, and third-party intermediaries. Any external provider found in violation of this policy will face termination. To sustain a culture of integrity and compliance at Datasonic, we conduct anti-corruption and anti-bribery training and awareness programme for all our employees at all levels. Whistleblowing Channels Our Whistleblowing Policy allows the Group’s employees, business associates, and third-party intermediaries to report any unethical and questionable conduct, such as bribery, corruption, and fraud, among others. This confidential reporting mechanism provides a safe and secure platform for for individuals to voice their concerns without fear of retaliation, with the whistleblower’s identity kept confidential. During the year, we organised 27 anti-corruption policy training sessions and awareness programmes, with 83% of the Group’s employees underwent anti-corruption training. To further mitigate bribery and corruption, we embed corruption risk assessment into the Group’s risk management process.
