ANNUAL REPORT 2024 29 Dear Valued Shareholders, As the Executive Chairman of Datasonic Group Berhad (“Datasonic”), it is my honour to present to you the Annual Report for the financial year ended 31 March 2024 (“FY2024”). Building on the strong momentum attained last year, we delivered another recordbreaking performance in FY2024 despite the uncertainties in the macroeconomic environment persisted throughout the year. In the financial year under review, Datasonic posted successive highest-ever top-line performance with a revenue of RM368.3 million. This exceeded the record of RM344.7 million achieved last year. Our FY2024 profit attributable to owners of the Group (“net profit”) also rose to an all-time high of RM92.2 million, surpassing the previous highest record posted in FY2013. With the outstanding top- and bottom-line performance, we also declared our largest dividend in FY2024 amounting to RM84.0 million or 3.0 sen per share. This works out to a dividend payout ratio of 91.0% based on FY2024 net profit of RM92.2 million.
