Dr. Tee Wu Shun joined Samaiden Group Berhad in 2022 as the Head of Group Strategy Development, where he holds the responsibility for leading and managing the development of the group's overarching strategy. Within his purview, he oversees several functions, including strategy development, marketing, and business analytics. His role extends to various key areas within Samaiden Group, encompassing continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability development, business transformation efforts, expansion of overseas business operations and Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activities. He is promoted to Chief Strategy Officer on 2 January 2024.
Dr. Tee Wu Shun graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He also holds a Certified International Credit Professional from National Association of Credit Management. He brings with his approximately 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas, Chemical, Industries Gases and Equipment Sales and Rental sectors.
Dr. Tee Wu Shun started his career in 2013 with Shell, a reputable Oil and Gas multinational company, as a Credit Analyst, where he was mainly focusing on debt collection and credit assessment works. He left Shell in 2015 and joined Huntsman Corporation, a company that primarily engaged in production of chemical material, where he was responsible to oversee the credit management works for APAC region. In 2016, he joined Air Liquide, one of the leaders in an Industrial Gases industry, as a Credit Lead, where he was instrumental the works migration from Taiwan, Philippines, and Singapore to Malaysia. He spent approximately half year to establish the credit management processes, coaching and continuous improvement works within this organization. In 2018, he left Air Liquide and pursue a similar career in Air Products, as an Asia Credit Manager, where his responsibilities include overseeing the credit related works, account receivable related reporting and analytical dashboard development for Asia region. In May 2020, he left Air Products and joined TTL Group, as a Business Development Manager. In TTL Group, he has successfully led to the deployment of Sales Force and assist the company to discover new business industry.
