Wasco Berhad Integrated Annual Report 2025

106 WASCO BERHAD SECTION 4 SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY Scope 2 Emissions Coverage: Entire Group (100%) Our Scope 2 GHG emissions are reported using two distinct methods as required by the GHG Protocol: 1. Location-based Method: GHG emissions were calculated using grid-average emission factors published by the respective national government authorities where our operations are located. 2. Market-based Method: GHG emissions were calculated based on the specific electricity purchase. This method uses emission factors from our contractual instruments, such as RECs and supplier-specific green tariffs, to accurately reflect the impact of the Group’s renewable electricity purchases. Our location-based emissions, which reflect the carbon intensity of the local grids where we operate, decreased to 16,964 tCO2e (from 17,219 tCO2e in 2024). This improvement is also reflected in our intensity performance, which decreased from 0.94 to 0.80 tCO2e per 1,000 man-hours. Our market-based emissions, which account for our active procurement of renewable energy, saw an even more significant reduction, decreasing to 11,218 tCO2e (from 12,719 tCO2e in 2024). The market-based intensity also showed strong improvement, decreasing from 0.70 to 0.53 tCO2e per 1,000 man-hours. SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY
