The idea is to future- proof our people as wel l as our organisation with adequate and robust business continuity plans and alternative business models, which will keep Bank Islam agile and responsive to the dynamic marketplace into the future. REDOUBLE OUR CSR EFFORTS Amidst the health and socio-economic crises, at Bank Islam, our attempt has been to go beyond what is mandated by the government and regulatory authorities in order to better serve ɰɁƺȈljɽʰӝ Ślj ƺɁȶɽȈȶʍljǁ Ɂʍɨ ƺɁȴȴȈɽȴljȶɽ to share wealth and prosperity with wider members of society, especially the at-risk and vulnerable communities and stakeholders. In other words, in addition to the moratorium to customers affected by the pandemi c , we a l located contributions from our Islamic social finance instruments such as Sadaqah, Źƃȟƃɽӗ ƃȶǁ Śƃɧǹ ɽɁ ɰʍɥɥɁɨɽ ƃȶǁ ƃɰɰȈɰɽ disadvantaged and underprivileged people, helping them to survive the debilitating effects of the pandemic. For instance, early this year, as floods ȃȈɽ ɽȃlj ɰɽƃɽljɰ Ɂǹ °ɁȃɁɨ ƃȶǁ ĀƃȃƃȶǼ impacting communities who were already struggling with the pandemic, ʥlj ɨƃȈɰljǁ ĄÃѷѳѳӗѳѳѳ ɽȃɨɁʍǼȃ Ɂʍɨ Islamic crowdfunding platform, Sadaqa House, for disaster relief efforts such as provision of food and drinks, medicines, essential equipment for flood evacuees at temporary evacuation centres, and the purchase of cleaning tools for post- ǹȢɁɁǁ ƺɁȶǁȈɽȈɁȶɰӝ Ślj ƃȢɰɁ ƺɁȶɽɨȈƹʍɽljǁ ĄÃѴѳѳӗѳѳѳ ǹɨɁȴ ɽȃlj ɽɁɽƃȢ ǹʍȶǁ ɽɁ Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah, which was actively carrying out initiatives to help those placed in temporary evacuation centres.
