Ms Kang is an Advocate & Solicitor by profession and graduated from Monash University, Australia with a Bachelor of Economics in 1980 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1982. She was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor of The Supreme Court of Victoria, Victoria Australia in 1982. She was called to the High Court of Malaya in October 1983 and has been a member of the Malaysian Bar since then. She began her legal practice in 1983 as a legal assistant in a long established law firm in Kuala Lumpur. She was made partner of the law firm in 1988, senior partner in 1993 and was managing partner in 1999. She is currently the managing partner of a legal firm in Selangor. Her legal practice spans more than 34 years covering corporate, civil and commercial law. She has acted for a wide range of both local and foreign clients involved in various businesses and industries. Ms Kang was appointed by the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board as a member of the Investigative Tribunal Panel from year 1996 to 2007 and as a member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel from 2007 to present day. Ms Kang has no directorship in other public companies in Malaysia. Ms Kang does not have any family relationship with any Directors and/or major shareholders of Tropicana, nor any conflict of interest with Tropicana. Ms Kang did not attend any Board meeting held in the financial year as her appointment was after the financial year. Datuk Lim Thean Shiang, a Malaysian, male, aged 47, was appointed to the Board of Tropicana on 2 October 2017. He is the Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee. He is also a member of the Audit Committee of Tropicana. He graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia with Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) and holds Bachelor of Law (Honours) in University of London, England. Datuk Lim, who is also known as Datuk TS, started his career as a Marketing Executive with TA Construction & Properties Sdn Bhd in 1994. He joined Wayteam Sdn Bhd in 1996 as a Business Development Manager and in 1997, he progressed to join Ideal Palms Sdn Bhd as Personal Advisor to the Chairman. He left employment and set up his own business in 1999. During the same period, he was appointed as Director in several private companies. From 2008 to 2009, he was appointed as General Manager of Port Klang Authority and Executive Chairman of Port Klang Free Zone. On 24 March 2015, Datuk TS was appointed as an Executive Director/Group Chief Executive Officer of Daya Materials Berhad, and then as Executive Vice Chairman/Group Chief Executive Officer on 2 November 2017. Datuk TS was on the Board of several companies within Felda Global Ventures (“FGV”) Group of Companies and also Board of Pontian United Plantation Berhad from 2013 to 2017. He was an Advisor to the Investment Committee of FGV. He is currently a Director of MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad and Maritime Institute of Malaysia. Datuk TS does not have any family relationship with any Directors and/or major shareholders of Tropicana, nor any conflict of interest with Tropicana. PROFILE OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT He has 29 years experience in the property industry including a seven-year stint with Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad as the Deputy General Manager, Property Division. Danaharta was setup by the Ministry of Finance to revive Malaysia’s banking industry and economy during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. He has held several key management positions, among others, as the Managing Director of GLM REIT Management Sdn Bhd, Executive Director of Guocoland Malaysia Berhad (Hong Leong Group Malaysia) and the Executive Director Dato’ Andy Khoo Poh Chye, a Malaysian, male, aged 51, Dato’ Andy Khoo Poh Chye, is currently the Group Managing Director, Northern & Southern Regions at Tropicana Corporation Berhad. of SunwayMas Sdn Bhd, the property division of Sunway Holdings Berhad. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Group Sdn Bhd from August 2014 to January 2016. Dato’ Andy Khoo does not have any family relationship with any Directors and/or major shareholders of Tropicana, nor any conflict of interest with Tropicana. DATO’ ANDY KHOO POH CHYE Group Managing Director, Project (Northern & Southern Regions) A Civil Engineer by profession, he currently holds a position as Treasurer with the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia Selangor Branch (“REHDA – Selangor”). He has 28 years of experience in the property industry. He has held several key management positions with Sunway Integrated Property, HS Liao Sdn Bhd and J.K. (SEA) Sdn Bhd. Currently, he is in charge of township developments such as Tropicana Aman, Tropicana Heights and parcel developments in Cheras, Petaling Jaya. His key area of responsibilities include overseeing business planning and execution of the projects. Mr Kelvin Choo Yung Yau, a Malaysian, male, aged 53, is currently the Senior Executive Director, Project at Tropicana Corporation Berhad. Mr Kelvin Choo does not have any family relationship with any Directors and/or major shareholders of Tropicana, nor any conflict of interest with Tropicana. Ms Ung is a Certified Financial Analyst (“CFA”) charterholder and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (“ICAA”). She has more than 15 years of experience in finance, business advisory and general management. She has held key positions in various multinational companies both locally and abroad. Ms Ung Lay Ting, a Malaysian, female, aged 38, is currently the Managing Director at Tropicana Corporation Berhad. Ms Ung joined Tropicana as the Deputy General Manager of Business Development in 2013. Presently, she is in charge of Marketing & Sales for Central, Northern and Southern Region and Business Development. Ms Ung oversees the development of project marketing and sales activities both locally and internationally.
