Reference is made to the announcements dated 12 May 2020 and 13 May 2020 and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s (“Bursa Securities”) query letter reference number IQL-15052020-00001, we set out our responses which are as follow:-
1. MYEG’s one-stop portal, which has been operating since 12 May 2020, is MYEG’s proprietary portal and is not integrated with any portal belonging to any other organisation.
2. MYEG’s one-stop portal allows all employers and employees, including foreign workers, to register for health screening as part of the compliance with the Government’s guideline for businesses to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic. For employers and employees who are eligible for free health screening, the cost of the health screening will be borne by the Government. Alternatively, employers and employees can opt to proceed with the health screening at their own expense.
3. At the date of this announcement, there are no existing or future plan to collaborate with any party in relation to MYEG’s one-stop portal. Should there be any further material development on this matter, the Company will release the necessary announcement in a timely manner to Bursa Securities.
4. As part of the compliance with the Government’s guideline for businesses to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, all workers, including foreign workers, are advised to undergo a health screening to ensure that they are free from the COVID-19 virus. The one-stop portal created by MYEG is a private initiative to assist the Government to ensure that all businesses are able to comply with this guideline as part of the Government’s effort to control the spread of COVID-19 virus. Furthermore, the Government will have access, at no cost, to all data collected through the portal for monitoring and enforcement purposes.
