2021 ANNUAL REPORT 21 LOOKING AHEAD Moving into FY2022, we anticipate the global and local economic environment as well as consumer sentiments to improve following the mass COVID-19 vaccine deployment worldwide, including Malaysia’s National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme which has commenced in early 2021. This is in line with the projections by the International Monetary Fund (“IMF”) and the World Bank that the global economy to grow by 5.5% and Malaysia’s GDP to expand 4.5% in 2021 respectively. With the ongoing vaccination programme that may result in possible immediate upliftment of international travel restrictions, we are expecting potential revenue for our passport business to resume to pre-pandemic level. On the other hand, the pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation where huge emphasis and efforts are placed on digitalisation as well as the digital economy. With MyDIGITAL, we see ample opportunities and one of our immediate strategic focus shall be on getting ourselves into the sphere of business-to- business (“B2B”) and business-to-consumer (“B2C”) platforms which are more lucrative and sustainable.
